By default, most standard WordPress themes will use blog template as homepage. However, for any reason if you want to use a static page as your homepage, that can easily be done in WordPress. For example, if you’re an internet marketer, you probably want to use static page as homepage in your site to display all your services and products.
To use static as homepage in your WordPress site, simply follow these simple steps:
1. Create a page.
2. From your dashboard, go to Reading > Front page displays.
3. Tick on the static page option and you will be able to choose which page to be used in the front page.
Yep, it’s that easy and can be done in less than a minute. Although this tutorial is specifically written for WordPress beginners, I’m pretty sure some folks who have been using WordPress for years might still do not realize about this feature as I was one of those people few years ago.
