Happy anniversary WordPress. Today, 27 May is marked as the 10th anniversary of WordPress and officially there are 705 WordPress meetups on this this around the world.

I started blogging with Blogger.com and migrated to WordPress about a year later. Once with WordPress, I never look back and never regret with my decisions. Started my career as a blogger, my passion for WordPress design and theme turned me into a self-taught developer, building sites and also custom themes for clients.
History of WordPress
This started it all. In 2003 or to be exact Jan 25 2003, Mike commented of Matt’s post regarding on The Blogging Software Dilemma whether Matt would like to fork the b2 platform. They later work on the platform with is now known as WordPress.
While Matt is well-known in the WordPress community as Automattic’s founder, not all people know well about Mike Little. However, if you want to read more about Mike, you can read the post about him on WPTavern. Also, congratulations to Mike as he’ll be honored in upcoming SAScon2013 event for his outstanding contribution in digital media.
