The latest updates to Genesis Framework, Genesis 1.9 includes Google Plus Authorship which I found to be quite interesting. Since Genesis has their own built-in SEO options, adding this feature is a right choice and is made at the right time.
For those who are still new with Google Plus Authorship, these are 3 external resources that I highly recommended for your own readings. Most of them highlight the reasons why you should start using it.

- How to Use Google Authorship to Boost SEO and Reduce Piracy - Authormedia.com

Here is an example of the Google Plus Authorship.

Setting Up Google Plus Authorship in Genesis
There are two places you need to setup the Google Plus Authorship - your homepage and your every single article. People usually associate the homepage with the owner of the website while every single article is associated with the author of the article.
1. Google Plus Authorship for Homepage
To choose a user to be associated with the homepage, go to the SEO settings page of the Genesis Framework. The page can be accessed from Genesis > SEO Settings.
2. Google Plus Authorship for Single Article
You need to put the link to your Google Plus profile in you User Profile page. That page can be accessed from Users > Your Profile.
To associate the homepage with your Google Plus profile, you still need to put the link to your Google Profile in the User Profile page.
That’s how easy to setup Google Plus Authorship with Genesis Framework. If you still don’t have a copy of Genesis Framework, make sure to buy one.
