How to Easily Display Recent Posts in Carousel

In today’s tutorial, we’d like to show you a creative way to display your recent posts in WordPress site. Instead just a static post, we will display the recent articles in post carousel.

Previously, we’ve shown you how to display any image or text in carousel using Carousel plugin. From the same plugin author, introducing Post Carousel plugin. At the time of writing, this plugin is only available from the plugin’s website and we hope it can be added to the WordPress.org plugin repo in the future.

Post Carousel plugin allows you to easily display recent posts in carousel. Furthermore, you can choose to display the posts in 1, 2, 3 or 4 columns. You can also set number of posts to be displayed and choose any specific category to be displayed. The plugin comes with no settings page.

There are two ways to add the carousel, either via shortcode or custom widget. The shortcode is very handy if you’d like to add the carousel in any post or page. It accepts few parameters such as number of post, columns, category and choose whether to enable or disable featured image. For widget, you can simply drag “RecentPost Carousel Loop” widget into any widget location. The carousel is fully responsive and therefore it will look awesome in all devices.
