If you use Jetpack plugin, you might notice that they have added few new features with the release of version 3.1. One of the features that really caught my attention is the addition of Portfolio Custom Post Type (CPT).
Previously, we’ve written a tutorial on how to add your own CPT. However, if you’re using Jetpack, you can add the Portfolio CPT by simply enable it from the settings page. To do this, go to Settings > Writing from your WordPress dashboard and scroll down to the bottom of your page.
This feature comes with a shortcode that allows you to easily display your CPT items on any post and page. The Portfolio CPT also allows you to add Portfolio Types (more like category) and Portfolio Tags (Tags) to manage your Portfolio items. This new features could be useful for those who are not into coding and want to add a Portfolio to their site.
We hope this tutorial help you to add Portfolio Custom Post Type to your WordPress site easily. If you’re not using Jetpack, we highly recommend Portfolio Post Type by Devin Price. It’s very flexible with many filters available to help you customize your CPT.
